The Secret Cinema teams up with the AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania to screen Sudden Fear, an oldie but goodie starring Joan Crawford (6 p.m.) at the William Way. The classic is introduced by film historian Richard Barrios.

Mauckingbird Theatre Company turns a gay lens on Much Ado About Nothing (8 p.m.) at the Off-Broad Street Theater.

It’s Sweat Weekend in New Hope as the Liberty Bears hit the Raven for a dance party (8 p.m.).

Saturday, Aug. 18

Philadelphia Family Pride meets at Sister Cities Park (10 a.m.) for some all-ages fun.

The William Way is hosting a couples retreat – Love My Partner Out Loud (12 p.m.) – with relationship coach J.M. Warren.

Sweat Weekend continues with a pool party (2 p.m.) featuring DJ Michael DeCero and a sexy bear and boy contest in which contestants are asked to dare to, um, bare it all. Also look for a performance by drag star Pumpkin and poolside massages by Philly Bodyworks. All proceeds benefit GALAEI.

Delaware Pride goes bowling (7 p.m.) at Bowlerama in New Castle, Del.

Hear the finest tunes from DJ Evil V at TRANScend (courtesy of Evil V).

It’s the Girls! Girls! Girls! Ladies Party at Pro Bar at Resorts in Atlantic City, N.J. (7 p.m.) with DJ Lily spinning Latin, dance and a South Beach mix.

Heat things up at Caliente (10 p.m.) at Mikey’s Sports Bar. Hosted by former out Playboy model and pro wrestler Veronica Paige, the party also features DJs Jess Ryte and Starr and lots and lots of ladies.

Show support for the transgender community during TRANScend (10 p.m.), a dance party at AxD Gallery with proceeds benefitting the Philly Trans March. DJs Evil V and Tay Tay will be spinning music until 2 a.m.

Sunday, Aug. 19

Honor active duty military and vets during Salute Back (10 a.m.) at Eakins Oval.

PGMC is looking for a few good men ... singers (courtesy of PGMC).

Raven hosts the Disco Bear Brunch (11 a.m.) before the resort’s free Sunday tea (4 p.m.).

It’s the monthly LGBT meeting at UPenn’s LGBT Center (2 p.m.).

Ladies 2000 host a tea dance at Havana (4 p.m.) in New Hope with drink specials and Steven Singer spinning all the hits.

Want to sing out, Louise? Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus is holding auditions (4 p.m.) at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion. The new season includes favorites from Broadway and ABBA.

It’s the Big Gay Boat Party on the Moshulu (6 p.m.) with proceeds benefitting Philly Gay Calendar.
