Pedro Martinez: Not Your New Superintendent

It appears that Pedro Martinez—the deputy superintendent of Clark County School District in Las Vegas—will not be the permanent replacement to Queen Arlene Ackerman. Martinez reportedly took a gig as the superintendent of Reno’s Washoe County School District. The School Reform Commission had supposedly narrowed down field of superintendent candidates down to Martinez and William R. Hite Jr. of Maryland’s Prince George’s County. [RGJ]
