Philly Conducts Traffic Experiment

Closes left lanes on Market and JFK

The left-hand lanes of Market Street and JFK Boulevard will be closed this week and next between 15th and 20th Streets so that the city can examine issues that might arise if those lanes were to be removed permanently. The idea is to consider the possibility of trying to make the thoroughfares more pedestrian friendly by replacing this lanes with green space, bike lanes or even cafes. [CBS 3]
