Carl Lewis Off the Ballot Again in NJ

Gold-medal winner's on-again off-again campaign is off, again

Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis is attempting to run for a seat in the New Jersey State Senate. The Willingboro native was officially taken off the ballot again when a federal judge in Camden ruled that he did not properly satisfy the residency provision for eligible candidates. Lewis’s residency is debatable because he’s owned property in New Jersey since 2005 and volunteered as a high-school track coach in Willingboro, but voted in California as recently as 2007. [CBS 3]
