Terrell Owens Ponders Retirement

The Pro Bowl wideout has torn his ACL and is considering calling it a career

Terrell Owens, former Eagles wide receiver and regional driveway sit-up champion, has torn his ACL and is without a contract for the (hopefully) upcoming NFL season. With the lockout still in place and Owens unable to play in 2011 anyway, it seems as though retirement is an increasingly viable option for the receiver. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus—of “next question” fame—has tweeted that the media is jumping the gun and that he or the wideout will issue a statement in the near future. With Iverson currently unemployed, Owens on his way out and Freddie Mitchell far from relevant, the Scoop is glad to have Charlie Manuel to rely on for entertaining press conferences. [FOX 29]
