Our city's business leaders bring in less money than you might imagine
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics ranked the average salaries of CEOs across the nation and Philly didn’t come out looking so sharp. Chief executive officers in the Philadelphia metropolitan area earn an average of $181,230 per year. In contrast, CEOs in the top-ranked Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk metropolitan area bring home an average of $217,080. [Philadelphia Business Journal]
