LOCAL SPOTLIGHT: Studio 47 West

The brightly hued pieces by this local family-run jewelry company are on our radar now

Just after soon-to-be local jewelry designer Michele Jones had her ears pierced, she went searching with daughters Lindley and Kelly for the perfect pair of tasteful, mature earrings – that didn’t seem to exist. Four years later, their  fruitless shopping trip has led to the creation of Studio47West, a family-run jewelry studio that the three ladies currently run out of their Lansdowne home.

Studio47West crafts totally wearable, one-of-a-kind bracelets, necklaces, and earings using high-quality materials that add a bright, elegant touch to any outfit. The Jones women create their trademark cluster bracelets with a wide variety of stones and semi-precious metals, including crystal, pearls, yellow jade, and 14-karat gold accents. They also craft bold, eye-catching necklaces from ocean jasper, turquoise, and sterling silver. Prices vary per piece, but necklaces start at $129, and can go up to $1,400.

While there’s no storefront – yet – you can keep up with the Joneses in the Chadds Ford Historical Society Gift Shop or at the BeaDazzle! Artisians Boutique in the Wallingford’s Community Arts Center. Look for pieces at the upcoming A Bit of the Arts show in Landsdowne from November 27th-28th, or check out the collections – and shop – at studio47west.com.
