Madame Fromage Is Turning Martha into a Cheesemas Wonderland

Philly's resident cheese queen is hosting a holiday-themed bring-your-own-cheese party on December 20th.

Madame Fromage is sort of like Philly’s cheesy godmother. From her award-winning blog to her books to her epic cheese parties and flash mobs, she makes sure we’re up on the latest dairy deliciousness.

And next week, Madame — a.k.a. Tenaya Darlington — is bringing the city’s turophiles together for another cheese-themed bacchanal. And this time, there’s even a cheesy Secret Santa.

On Wednesday, December 20th, head to Martha with your favorite wedge to share on the Cheesemas table. And if you’d like to participate in the Secret Santa portion of the evening, bring a wrapped condiment or other cheese-related treat.

There will be all the cheese you can eat, plus accompaniments like loaves from Alex Bois at Lost Bread CoBen Wenk from Ploughman Cider and Three Springs Fruit Farm will be pouring some special hard ciders, too. And the good folks behind the bar at Martha will be serving up the perfect cocktails, wines, and beers to pair with a plethora of fine cheeses.

While you sip and snack, be sure to check out Martha’s upstairs, where Philadelphia painter of cheese Mike Geno will be displaying and selling his gorgeous cheese portraits.

The Cheesemas cheer starts at 7 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. on December 20th.
