Unusual Valentine’s Day Suggestions


Just about every restaurant in the Philadelphia is doing a special menu for Valentine’s Day. Many of which are being offered all weekend. Instead of listing all of those, here are some more offbeat ideas for Valentine’s Day, like eating budino and binge watching House of Cards, Season II on Netflix (which comes out on the 14th). Significant other, totally optional.

Barbuzzo – In what has become a Valentine’s tradition. You can pick up a two-pack of Barbuzzo’s salted caramel budino at Verde from February 11th to the 14th. No reserving the budino is necessary. The desserts are available between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for $15 a pair.

City Tap House – Do you love Russian River beers? Then consider City Tap House on Sunday where they’re putting together a five-course dinner paired with Russian River beers for $90, $120 a couple. Get tickets here.

Pub & Kitchen – The 20th and Lombard bar is throwing an 80’s prom–themed party on Friday, February 14th. Beginning at 8pm, there will be 80’s music and guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best 80’s prom attire. At the end of the night Pub & Kitchen will crown a prom king and queen.  The best-dressed prom king and queen will each win a $200 bar tab.

SliCE – Each location of the pizzeria is offering heart-shape pizzas for eat-in, takeout or delivery. One lucky delivery customer at each location will also receive a free Sterling Silver Hershey Kiss necklace donated by Sermania Jewelry.

Tria Cafe – At both the Rittenhouse and Washington Square West locations, Tria will have two special sparkling wines and a meant-to-be-shared luscious cheese available.

Yards Brewing –  A local beer with chocolate, caramel and vanilla goodness. That’s what Yards Chocolate Love Stout is, bring home a 750 ml bottle instead of flowers.
