The following Eagles are inactive for tonight’s game against the Carolina Panthers: QB Nick Foles, S Earl Wolff, DB Jaylen Watkins, C Julian Vandervelde, OL Dennis Kelly, WR Jeff Maehl and DL Taylor Hart.

The biggest surprise on that list is Wolff. He started last week, but won’t dress this week. Nate Allen will start alongside Malcolm Jenkins. The first backup safety will either be Chris Maragos or newcomer Chris Prosinski. Wolff was not listed on the injury report at any point during the week. This is the second time all season he’s inactive.

Up front, Evan Mathis returns and will start at left guard. Matt Tobin moves over to right guard. Jason Peters (LT), Jason Kelce (C) and Lane Johnson (RT) are the other three starters. The backups will be David Molk (C) and Andrew Gardner (G/T).

Mark Sanchez will start at QB, and Matt Barkley will back him up. Brad Smith is the emergency option.

Casey Matthews and Emmanuel Acho will fill in for DeMeco Ryans. Marcus Smith II is active and could see some action on passing downs.

The Eagles have five wide receivers active: Jeremy Maclin, Riley Cooper, Jordan Matthews, Smith and Josh Huff. All four tight ends – Brent Celek, Zach Ertz, James Casey, Trey Burton – will dress.
