6 Ways to Work Out Down the Shore This Summer

Headed down the Shore for the summer? Here’s where to find Jersey Shore beach workouts including spinning, barre, yoga, and more.

Bootcamp

The class: Beach Bootcamp with Carly Rubenstein, an all-level full-body workout using bodyweight exercises and resistance bands.
The spot: The beach at Huntington Avenue, Margate
The specs: Bring $15 and a towel — and plan on getting very sandy.

Vinyasa Yoga

The class: Beach Yoga with Balance Cape May, an hour-long Vinyasa-style yoga open to all levels of yogis.
The spot: The beach at Cove and Second Avenue, Cape May
The specs: It’s $15 — pay cash on-site or register beforehand online.

SUP

The class: Stand Up Paddleboard Intro with Stacey’s Surf Camp. A core killer.
The spot: 9511 Amherst Avenue, Margate
The specs: Class is $50; afterward, sign up for any of their SUP Fit classes.

Barre

The class: Pure Barre Ardmore — a (barre-free) barre class on the beach.

All-Levels Yoga

The class: Sea Isle Beach Yoga, a 75-minute all-levels flow starting with dynamic movement and ending on core work and seated postures.
The spot: JFK Boulevard Beach, Sea Isle
The specs: Just show up with your beach towel and $10 cash.

Indoor Cycling

The class: Revel Ride, a new studio from one of Philly’s best cycling spots, serving up its signature 45-minute classes. (Great for rainy days!)
The spot: 271 21st Street, Avalon
The specs: $30 for a drop-in class; spin shoes are included.
