Check Out the Awesome Workouts You Can Try at This Year’s Be Well Philly Boot Camp

Here at Be Well Philly, we consider it our mission to introduce you to new and different outlets that might make you happier and healthier. Because we know that every modality isn’t going to work for everyone; a 7 a.m. barre class might be your best friend’s saving grace while you’d rather spend your evenings running through Fairmount Park. Not only is that OK, it’s wonderful — we need all kinds of movement and bodies and voices and smiles if we’re going to keep this world functioning.

That’s why we’re eager to announce our schedule for Be Well Philly Boot Camp, our colossal one-day attempt to gather the people we’re excited about in one place and make their talents available to you. (Caveat: Philly’s got so many energetic folks in the health, wellness, and fitness space that we didn’t have room for all of them, but at least we’ve got a long list of talent to approach for next year.)

This year’s event, sponsored by Independence Blue Cross, will take place Saturday, June 1st at Drexel Recreation Center. It will feature everything from barre and HIIT to shadow boxing and swimming boot camps. You can learn how to swing a kettlebell properly or how to climb a rock wall. You can maximize your treadmill workouts through running-specific exercises or work on getting those glutes fired up. You can do squats to strengthen your muscles and downward dog to stretch them out. Plus, elite instructors will be leading you through the exercises to make sure you’re getting a top-notch workout; check out the schedule here to see who’ll be joining us to teach.

And that’s before we even get to the slate of speakers and culinary demonstrators. Our docket is packed full with a clean beauty talk, a grain bowl demo, a mocktail workshop, and even a mini meditation. (Again, head here to see the full schedule.) We’ll also feature a marketplace of wellness vendors, a “Glow Lounge” offering brief treatments ranging from massage to B12 shots, breakfast from Honeygrow, and lunch provided by Saladworks.

But, of course, you have to buy a ticket to experience this wellness-filled day. The price is $60 unless you’re a Be Well Philly member; then you’ll get a 20 percent discount. (Sign up for our membership here on a monthly or yearly basis.) Regardless, it’ll be worth it to sweat, eat, and learn about what’s shaking in our health scene. We can’t wait to see you there.
