So you woke up late and didn’t have time to pack a lunch (again). So your weekend got gobbled up by laundry or wine night or overtime work, and you couldn’t fit meal prep in (again). So you were too busy scrolling through Instagram, feeling all the Sunday scaries, to remember that you could have done something productive instead, like, oh, making healthy meals (you know what we’re going to say).

Whatever your recurring excuse, you’re now faced with another week of Sweetgreen salads that you don’t really have the time to run out and buy at lunchtime. Or, at least, you were. As of March 3rd, you’ll have another option: grab-and-go Glow Bowls from Reap Wellness.

The health and nutrition coaching service, run by former Be Well Philly editor Adjua Fisher and seasoned chef Zach Rice, is launching its own line of ready-made salads at Old City’s Inspired Brews. (We should have predicted this venture based on this amazing salad post Fisher wrote a while back.) These so-called Glow Bowls stemmed from Fisher’s own problems; when she was struggling with adult acne and digestive issues, Rice, her fiancé, began making plant-centric meals that she describes as “bowls full of things that would finally get me to feel like I was glowing.” Those things tend to sound delectable — chipotle cauliflower; dolce, a red seaweed with umami notes; a Green Goddess dressing made with avocado, cilantro, lime juice, and all sorts of herbs. (Are you salivating yet?) All Glow Bowls are also meat-, gluten-, and dairy-free. Sorry, vegan friends, they do incorporate honey into some of the salad dressings.

The best part? By the end of March, you’ll be able to order your $10 Glow Bowls ahead of time and either pick them up on Sundays and Wednesdays or get them delivered straight to your door. “What we want to do is make it so you can stock your fridge with a good salad,” Fisher says. “If you take three of these to work and keep them in your fridge, you don’t have to worry about where you’re going to get lunch because it’s already made.”

Eventually, Fisher will also roll out three-day “reset” meal series that focus on improving areas of concern like gut health or skin health as well as Jersey Shore packages that you can pick up before heading out of town for your beach weekend. But first things first: She’s celebrating the debut of the Glow Bowls with a launch party on Sunday, March 3rd, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Inspired Brews. In addition to a first look at the Glow Bowls, you can expect a free workout (part run, part bodyweight exercises) at 11 a.m. with personal trainer Alana Messina, Reap Wellness snacks, and kombucha mimosas. (YUM.) One person will even win a week of Glow Bowls and some Inspired Brews kombucha — the perfect way to start turning your sad lunches into colorful, healthy treats.
