‘Tis the season for lots of themed holiday fitness events in Philadelphia. Whether you’re game for getting out of the house for some self-care or free fitness, or you just want to spend the weekend baking with Netflix on in the background, here are some healthy ideas for your weekend in Philly.

YOGA Beyoncé meets Santa Claus in this special edition of yoga instructor Adriana Adele’s Namaslay yoga class, “Slaybells.” The Friday-nights-only class, which is typically set to R&B hits, gets a fun holiday twist during this two-hour yoga event at Three Queens Yoga at 6:30 p.m. on December 21. The evening will also double as a coat drive, so make sure to bring some gently used outerwear to donate. Tickets are $35 and can be found here.

BAKE Two words: Gingerbread truffles. And not just any gingerbread truffles — paleo, gluten-free, and, most importantly, easy-to-make gingerbread truffles. Crafted with a mix of coconut and almond flour and sweetened with molasses, these treats offer a healthier twist one what’s sure to be a very treat-filled weekend. Get the recipe by Erin Lives Whole here.

SWEAT Look, we get it: Working out the weekend before the holidays may not be at the top of your to-do list. There’s shopping to be done, presents to be wrapped, family to see. But you know what? It takes a lot of energy to get through all that stuff, and we think there’s nothing more energizing than a good sweat session. Thankfully, Athleta on Walnut Street has us covered with a FREE barre and Pilates fusion class at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, December 23. Sign up here to join, and make sure to bring your mat!

EAT You’re probably going to be out and about a lot this weekend, what with all the shopping and social engagements the holidays bring. Stay fueled with the good stuff at a new healthy cafe in Philly, Frutta Bowls. You can dive into some frozen açaí bowls, sample their decadent oatmeal bowls, or try some fancy-sounding, superfood-covered toasts. Check it out now at 2001 Hamilton Street in Spring Garden.

SELF-CARE This may be a very festive time of year, but it can also be a very stressful time of year. Self-care is more important than ever — and Fishtown’s Vitality Meditation can help. Join them for the last of their #SelfCareSaturday series on Saturday, December 22, for 60 minutes of yoga with Vibes and Vinyasa, followed by 15 minutes of meditation. Purchase your $15 ticket here, and don’t forget to bring your mat.
