Obviously your first priority on Sunday morning will be to cross the finish line of the Broad Street Run. But your second priority? Brunch.

There’s nothing quite like eating brunch after running a long race. For one thing, everything just tastes better after a serious athletic endeavor — for another thing, you’re more grateful than usual just to be sitting down.

If you don’t want to go too far after the Broad Street Run before filling up the tank, we’ve listed a few places in South Philly below where you can sit down, grab brunch, and celebrate the end to months of training in style.

Where: 2535 S 13th Street, Lower Moyamensing
Brunch hours: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Distance from the finish line: 1.9 miles

At this neighborhood American eatery, you’ll find gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. It all looks tasty — but we’ve got our eyes set on the sweet potato salad and the applesauce French toast, which you can order made with gluten-free bread.

Where: 1046 Tasker Street
Brunch hours: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Distance from the finish line: 2.8 miles

This Dutch spot has a full hash menu for some much-needed post-race carb replenishment. Get in a bunch of different nutrients with their vegetable hash, featuring two sunny-side-up eggs for added protein.

Cafe y Chocolate

Where: 2100 S Norwood Street, West Passyunk
Brunch hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Distance from the finish line: 2.9 miles

Okay, yes, chocolate is in the name at this Mexican restaurant, but they have brunch nachos on the menu — and that’s what really matters. Alternatively, opt for the veggie omelette filled with mushrooms, onions, zucchini and serrano peppers.

The Tasty

Where: 1401 S 12th Street, East Passyunk
Brunch hours: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Distance from the finish line: 3 miles

Yes, it’s diner food. And yes, it’s all vegan. Go for a tofu scramble with veggies — or give into your cravings and get that stack of pancakes. You’ve earned it, champ.

The Dutch

Where: 1527 S. 4th Street, Pennsport
Brunch hours: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Distance from finish line: 3.3 miles

For something a little more upscale, try The Dutch. The veggie omelette with goat cheese is a good choice, and for something sweet there’s banana and blueberry pancakes.
