Well, this is awesome.

Psst: There’s still one way you can get in on the Philly 10K, even though the popular late-summer race is sold out. In an effort to push local runners to register for local races, the Philly 10K and a bunch of other Philly races have teamed up to form a new initiative called #RaceLocalPHL. And it’s resulting in some pretty sweet partnerships.

The Philly 10K, which will be held on August 27th, is a 6.2-mile loop spanning 76 blocks of Philadelphia. Unsurprisingly, it’s quite a hot-ticket race, but it caps out at 4,500 runners. If you’ve tried to sign up recently, you’ve probably been met with the blaring “SOLD OUT!” announcement gracing the race’s home page. Lucky for you, the Philly 10K race director, Ryan Callahan, let us in on a little secret on how you can still get in on the fun.

As a part of #RaceLocalPHL, the Philly 10K and the ODDyssey Half Marathon — the super-fun, costumes-encouraged half marathon, going down in Fairmount Park this Sunday, June 11th — have teamed up for a sweet combo race package. When you register for the ODDyssey, they’re giving you the option to sign up for the ODDyssey AND the sold-out Philly 10K for $148, which ends up getting you a $10 discount. The deal ends Friday at noon, so if you want in, you’ll want to register here as soon as possible.
