Listen Up, South Philly Runners: The Navy Yard Has a New Weekly Running Group

Psst: The runs end at Lo Spiedo for runners' specials. Yes, please!

When I first saw the Facebook event page for the Navy Yard Running Club, a new running group that will meet at Vincera Institute at 1201 Constitution Avenue every Tuesday at 5:45 p.m., my first thought was, “This will hands-down be the MOST stylish running group ever. And the dogs! There will be so many dogs!”

I had these thoughts because the new running group will be meeting just a hop, skip and a throw away from the URBN headquarters, where many-a fashionable human brings their dog to work. But whether or not this will actually be a super-fashionable running group complete with many dogs is yet to be seen: The group’s first run is slated for Tuesday, September 13th.

The weekly two- to four-mile group runs, led by Run215’s Jon Lyons, will range from regular ol’ runs to interval runs to “special” runs (ohhh!), ending each week at Lo Spiedo for runners’ specials. The club is free to join in on, but you can register here to stay in the know when it comes to Navy Yard Running Club news. Haaaaapppy running, folks!
