Get a free workout and free beer tomorrow morning when you donate a pair of sneakers in good condition. In celebration of Philly Beer Week and National Running Day, the folks over at Run215 and the November Project are teaming up for a killer workout that’ll preemptively burn off all those beer calories.

All you have to do is donate a pair of running shoes and you’ll score a free beer from Southern Tier. Shoes will be donated to Project HOME, a local nonprofit dedicated to fighting homelessness.

Here’s what Jon Lyons, organizer of Run215, had to say about the shoe drive:

“I noticed with my own running shoes that the support wore out really fast, but they were still shoes in great condition for everything but actually running. So a lot of people can still get use out of them. Run215 has done a shoe drive before, so we decided to do it again and get together with The November Project.”

The workout is part of the November Project’s free weekly workouts that happen Wednesday mornings on the Art Museum steps. The hour-long workout starts promptly at 6:25 a.m. So you can either pound your free beer bright-and-early before work, or save it for later—your call. The workout doesn’t cost a thing: Just show up, get moving, and don’t forget your sneaks.
