To Do: Outdoor Yoga at Race Street Pier
Fact: Philly has a lot of stray and abused cats and dogs. Here’s your chance to help the cuddly little guys.
Fishtown’s Amrita Yoga & Wellness is hosting a series of outdoor yoga classes, starting tonight, at the Race Street Pier to help raise money for our city’s four-legged friends. Every dollar earned through the classes will be donated to Street Tails Animal Rescue (S.T.A.R), the Philadelphia-based non-profit that helps homeless and special needs animals to get proper medical attention and places animals in loving homes.
Amrita welcomes all yogis (including beginners!) and will hold classes every other Wednesday and Saturday through August. For more information, call 215-882-3724, or check out the Facebook flyer here. Don’t forget your mat!
$10 to $15 suggestion donation; every other Wednesday through August, starting June 13th, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; and every other Saturday through August, starting June 23rd, from 10 to 11 a.m. Race Street Pier, 121 North Columbus Boulevard.
