The Checkup: Dole Salad Recalled for Salmonella

First sushi, now salad. Geez.

• Yesterday it was tuna used in sushi, today it’s bagged salad—what (or who) is going to be the next victim of a salmonella outbreak? Dole recalled 756 cases of bagged Seven Lettuces salad, Fox News reports, including ones distributed in Pennsylvania. The product is being recalled after a random sample tested positive for salmonella. The bags in question carry a use-by date of April 11, 2012 with UPC code 71430 01057 and product codes 0577N089112A and 0577N089112B; consumers are advised to discard products that fit the bill. The good news is, no illnesses have been reported yet.

• Guess what plastic surgery is becoming more popular than boob jobs: chin implants. The number of “chinplants” performed between 2010 and 2011 increased 71 percent. The driver? Fear of the dreaded double chin.

• Why do women have more migraines than men? Hormones. Of course.
