To Do: Gear Up for Gearing Up Spinning Fundraiser

An indoor cycling fundraiser to help women in transition

Swap your usual workout routine this weekend for one with a good cause. Gear Up For Gearing Up is a 90-minute indoor cycling fundraiser to benefit the Philly nonprofit Gearing Up, which provides women in transition from drug and alcohol addiction, domestic violence situations, and homelessness with the opportunity to safely ride a bicycle for exercise, transportation, and personal growth. On Saturday and Sunday, participating fitness centers—East Falls Fitness, Focus Fitness of the Mainline, Body Cycle Studio, PEAC Health and Fitness, Total Body Fitness of Lansdale, and Sweat gyms in Queen Village and Manayunk—will offer spinning classes for $40. In addition to getting in a great workout and supporting an excellent cause, participants will receive goodie bags and the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for over $3,000 in prizes. Hurry and reserve your bike by registering here. Online registration closes Friday at 5 p.m.

$40, January 28 and 29, participating fitness centers.
