Test out the TRX Suspension Training unit at a Kickstart workout

Morning coffee not cuttin’ it? Energize your day with a TRX Kickstart sweat session atop the Art Museum steps. Rob Licata’s Total Body Resistance Exercise class incorporates work with medicine balls, heavy ropes, jump ropes, hurdles, and kettleballs, but focuses on the TRX Suspension Training Unit. The unit is a “portable, industrial-strength, nylon webbing system with foot cradles and anchoring attachments.” Users can adjust the resistance simply by moving closer to or further away from the structure, meaning that people of all fitness levels can do the same exercises at their own pace. You better be morning person, though; the 60-minute class gets going on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 a.m. – Kathryn Siegel

$20 for a single session, $75 for 5-class package, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 a.m., Philadelphia Museum of Art, 26th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, http://thebodyologist.com/live/
