Show Appreciation for Philly’s Heroes

Run the Badges of Honor 5k on June 4 to help families of officers killed in the line of duty

Assist families of our fallen heroes at the Badges of Honor 5K.

When a police officer, firefighter, or other public safety employee is killed in the line of duty, their families often shoulder an financial burden on top of an emotional one. You can help out the loved ones of our city’s fallen heroes and burn calories on Saturday, June 4, by running the third annual Badges of Honor 5K. Registration fees and donations go to the Survivor’s Fund, an emergency reserve to help alleviate expenses related to the death of public safety employees. After the morning run through Fairmount Park, participants can enjoy food and drink at the post-event festival while watching teams from the police, firefighters, and other public departments battle it out in the Heroes Softball Tournament. — Kathryn Siegel
