Thing: Auditioning for season 11 of So You Think You Can Dance

Why do you want to be on the show? I wanted to audition for the experience, and to be exposed to the commercial scene.

Season 11 debuts this month. Are you a big fan? When it started. I watched maybe the first eight seasons.

Do you watch other reality TV shows? I like watching Dance Moms, but I also like non-dance reality shows, like America’s Next Top Model. I love the drama.

What type of dance did you perform? Contemporary, to “Retrograde,” by James Blake.

Where did you learn to dance? I was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and started dancing at a school there from age two to 15.

Do you want to stay in Philly? I like Philadelphia, but I see myself graduating from here and trying for New York or Europe.

To tour professionally? Yes. If I join a company, I would love to be in one that travels internationally.

What’s your favorite SYTYCD number? There’s a duet with Sasha and Melanie that’s one of my favorites. It’s pretty epic.
