It’s an interesting pairing: A James Cameron-inspired Cirque du Soleil show and Crayola crayons. But leave it to the creative teams of both to offer a family-fun event this Wednesday, November 18th that will blur the line between breathtaking acrobatics and coloring.

The newest Cirque production, Toruk: The First Flight, which is based on Cameron blockbuster Avatar, will be headed to the Crayola Experience in Easton for an afternoon of events inspired by the high-flying show. Children and children-at-hearts will be able to create their own “Pandora” by making crafts, getting airbrush tattoos, and seeing costume designs and photos from the new production, coming to Allentown starting in December.

The Crayola Experience’s Kristin Luise is excited about this venture, saying that the team-up with Cirque is the perfect pairing. “We are always looking to take guests on colorful new adventures, and we know Cirque du Soleil does the same.”

The new show, Toruk, is the first Cirque production to have a narrator, and takes place on the mythical land of Pandora. Creatives promise a fusion of puppetry, stagecraft, and a cinematic score similar to the film when the show comes to Allentown’s PPL Center from December 4th through the 6th.
