It appears that The Playground, the utterly sloppy concept that replaced the Pier Shops at Caesars, is already sinking into the sea. The Press of Atlantic City is reporting that the venue’s main music stage, 39N, has cancelled all live music shows.

The report claims that “There were three shows planned — Splintered Sunlight on Friday and Saturday nights, and Rebirth Brass Band on Aug. 14 — that are all flanked by a big red ‘Cancelled’ on the 39N at the Playground Ticketmaster page.”

Press of AC Reporter Vincent Jackson sent out the following Tweet:

The only remaining event that appears to be “scheduled” at the venue is Silver Spoon Promotions Championship Boxing on August 15th.

People quickly took to Facebook to post some downright snarky things about the venue: One AC promoter wrote, “RIP 39 North at The Playground, June 2015-August 2015. Gone But Not Remembered because nobody really went there anyway. What a shitshow.” Another replied, “Wow even the Facebook page is deleted!”
