Come Taste Test Dietz & Watson’s Real Philly Deli Sandwiches
Is there anything Philadelphians love more than free food? Absolutely not (sorry Eagles, Rocky and world-class culture—you’re pretty great too!). That’s why Dietz & Watson wants all of Philadelphia to swing by and taste test the signature sandwiches of the Real Philly Deli Contestants this month, and while you’re there, don’t forget to cast your vote for the Best Real Philly Deli Faceoff.
Here’s where you can snag one of these stand-out sandwich samples:
Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival
Who: The 18 delicious delis you’ve been voting for in Dietz & Watson’s Real Philly Deli Sandwich Faceoff
What: Dietz & Watson is dishing up sample-sized portions of all 18 deli’s sought-after sandwiches competing for the title of the Best Real Philly Deli.
Where: You’ll find the signature samples at 18th and Walnut but the full festival runs from Walnut between Broad and 19th Streets and 17th and 18th from Samson to Locust.
When: Saturday, May 19th, 12-5PM Rain or shine.
Why: Uh…free hoagies! If that’s not enough for you, are you even from Philly?! Plus, you can cast your vote for the winner and experience the other 200 + businesses showcasing their art, music, fashion and entertainment at the festival.
Spruce Street Harbor Park Pop-Up
Who: The 4 finalists in the Dietz & Watson Real Philly Deli Sandwich Faceoff
What: For two days in a row, Dietz is setting up shop in Spruce Street Harbor Park to showcase the best of the best Philly hoagies. By the time the pop-up rolls around, only four delis will remain in the running for the crown.
Where: Spruce Street Harbor Park, 301 S Christopher Columbus Blvd.
When: Saturday, June 2nd from 5-7pm and Sunday, June 3rd from 12-2pm.
Why: Whether you have a hankering for a hoagie happy hour or an afternoon sampling sesh, these events will satisfy your sandwich tooth. Plus, they’ll be live music and lawn games and are also completely free!
