Projects Bubbling Up in Brewerytown in 2015
Looks like Tacony isn’t the only neighborhood fixing for a revival. The Brewerytown boosters at MM Partners recently sent out a report of the projects they have in store for the growing ‘hood. The list, which you can read in full here, includes everything from the upcoming Turnkey Startups co-working space to plans to deck out the area with public art.
But as this is a real estate blog, after all, below you’ll find the developments we’re most looking forward to in the area:
- MM Partners will complete their Braverman Building on Girard and Taney (pre-leasing at the 16-unit mixed-use construction will start March 1st) and their mixed-use project at 2623 W Girard Avenue ( ground-floor tenant to be announced).
- The city will finalize their plans for the much-needed cleanup and refurbishment of West Girard Avenue. Once completed, work (consisting of crosswalk, lighting, and landscaping improvements; new bike racks, trolley shelters, and signage; as well as “big belly trash and recycling bins at every intersection”) will begin next year.
- MM Partners will break ground on a “transformational” mixed-use project at 27th and Girard (currently an empty lot) that will have “15,000 square feet of ground floor retail, approximately 68 apartments and 10 for sale town homes fronting on 27th Street.”
- More projects to be announced by MM Partners and and other developers.
