PW Reader Ring: Azamir & Mark!

The couple: Azamir Green and Mark Cruz from Spring Garden.
The ring: My ring is a round diamond in a cushion-cut halo setting with a diamond band, which Mark purchased from Canzi Creations on Jewelers’ Row. It was a great recommendation from his longtime childhood friend, and my ring is just gorgeous!
Mark picked out my ring completely on his own; he asked my father for some advice on what type of ring he thought I would like but my dad wasn’t much help!
The proposal: Since I recently graduated with my Master’s degree, Mark decided to surprise me with a trip to the Cayman Islands. He knew he was going to propose while we were there, but since we usually travel at least two times per year, I didn’t think anything of it—the engagement was a total surprise!
Our friends came on the trip too, and it was during dinner one night that Mark proposed. As the sun was beginning to set, Mark became very anxious; our group took pictures in front of the sunset and before Mark and I sat back down he asked one of his friends to take a picture of the two of us. Mark then got down on one knee and ask me to be his wife.
The band: We haven’t picked out bands yet but I would love a white gold band with diamonds along both sides.
