It can take some time brainstorming with your photographer to come up with the perfect location for your wedding-day portraits—and hopefully what you land on in the end is a) gorgeous and b) somehow reflective either of you as a couple or the special place(s) you chose to hold your various wedding-day events.

The crazy shots taken by photographer Jay Philbrick and his team featuring brides and grooms standing on—and sometimes, yes, dangling off of—a cliff in New Hampshire have been making the rounds recently, and we can see why! Goodness.
The couples who partake in these shoots are all hooked up safely, of course—which seems like a lot to go through on your wedding day, but then again, if you’re opting for photos like these, chances are you don’t mind—as is Philbrick, who is often dangling at some odd angle above them in order to get the shot.
