Q: I’m going to pay for my bridesmaids to have their hair and makeup done the morning of the wedding. Is it okay to make that their gift, or should I also be getting them jewelry or something else?

Though paying for your bridal party’s hair and makeup is a generous gesture, “a small token of appreciation should also be considered as a gift that the girls can keep long after the wedding has passed,” says wedding planner Kelsey Gilland of Chester County’s A Little Soireé. “An additional thank-you to your girls would really mean a lot to them.”
