NJ’s Bigoted Bridal Salon

So yesterday, as you may have already seen, the Daily News’ Ronnie Polaneczky wrote an article about a bridal salon in South Jersey called Here Comes the Bride whose owner, Donna, refused to sell a wedding dress to a lovely young bride once she realized that lovely young bride was a lesbian.

I thought about it all day. I knew I wanted to respond, both personally, and professionally, and so today, here’s what I came up with. I hope that none of you lovely brides out there who happen to be marrying the woman of your dreams come up against anything like this. You deserve your Big Day and your dream dress just like anyone else who has not only found love, but a person to spend the rest of their lives with. And I’m happy to say that to my knowledge, most of the Philadelphia wedding industry feels the same way.
