Bride-to-be Leslie: Two Months To Go!

Leslie and Charles, outside the chapel at Villanova — their alma mater — where they will get married this spring.
We are officially under the two-month mark until the Big Day. Our 18-month engagement has flown by, though I enjoyed basking in engagement bliss a little longer than ‘normal’ — it gave us time to relax for a bit before the craziness of all the wedding planning began.
Two weekends ago, I had my bridal shower in Virginia and this past weekend was my second shower in Philadelphia with friends and family from this area. I feel so blessed to have family and friends that want to throw me a second shower so all my friends from Philly can be there. I am one lucky bride-to-be!
Other items on my ever growing to-do list, which seems to get longer and longer as it gets closer to the wedding, include: finalizing our appetizer selections for the cocktail portion of the wedding; finalizing the details for the ceremony; finalizing rehearsal dinner choices — including picking out a groom’s cake and sending out the invitations for that along with many other last minute details.
More pressing matters include the reception site walk-through as well as my dress fitting, which should both happen in the next two weeks. I feel that going through the details for the reception as well as trying on my (hopefully completed or near perfect) wedding dress will make everything that more real. Right now I have been focusing so much time and energy on the actual wedding I am actually really starting to look forward towards the honeymoon! I am excited to relax and unwind after all the wedding craziness has come to an end, and I have already started to come to terms with the fact that my wedding day will fly by so fast, I am going to try not to blink!
Do you have any suggestions for me as to how to enjoy the last two months of being a bride-to-be? I want to enjoy every bit of it and remember this time of my life — planning my wedding with my family and fiance has been very special. I want the last few weeks to be as stress free as possible!
