Lil’ Steph is back with an international extravaganza this Friday.

For its impeccable consistency in putting on one of the best gender-inclusive burlesque shows in the city, this week’s LGBTQ event of the week is Rasputin’s Room: The International Extravaganza. For the last four years, this spectacle has been giving patrons “sumptuous burlesque, riotous comedians and spellbinding chanteuses” every third Friday of the month. Now, the show’s producer and burlesque star Stephanie “Lil’ Steph” Aman is ready to show Philly what she’s learned from around the world.

“I am excited to have producers of Prague Burlesque Royal stopping in Philly during their U.S tour at Rasputin’s Room because it’s not every day you get to see top talent from Prague, NYC and Philly … that’s two continents all in one show,” said Aman, who will reach 10 years as a professional burlesque performer this October.

Although Lil’ Steph has toured Europe three times in recent years and has been influenced by the unique aesthetic, she still loves the conventional technique of burlesque in her production. “Rasputin’s Room features mainly classic burlesque, so expect a ton of glamor and polished striptease acts,” she said. “Something such as a simple glove removal can be intoxicating to watch … I love entertaining the audience with things that are the everyday and making them extraordinary and ridiculous, like unzipping my gown or prancing with a boa.”

Given the special international occasion, guests are encouraged to arrive early to ensure seating with doors opening 7 p.m. this Friday, September 16th, at Frankly Bradley’s on 1320 Chancellor Street. Performers Sonny Vargas (Prague), Minx Arcana (NYC) and Lulu Lenore (Philly) are some of the many regionally diverse talents hitting the stage. Advanced tickets can be purchased at a reduced price online.
