Republican presidential candidate and Ohio governor John Kasich is set to make an appearance on the Main Line next week. Kasich will visit Villanova University on Wednesday, March 16th as he continues to seek America’s highest office.

The event, which Kasich’s website bills as “Villanova Town Hall w/ Gov. John Kasich,” is being held at 12 p.m. in the Connelly Center’s Villanova Room.

“The Student Government Association welcomes Republican Presidential Candidate and Governor of Ohio, John Kasich, to the student body on Wednesday, March 16th at Noon in the Villanova Room, Connelly Center as a part of the 2016 election cycle,” read an email to students from JJ Brown, Villanova’s Director in the Office of Student Involvement Friday morning.

The event is free and open to the public, although seating is limited and available on a “first come, first serve basis,” the email said. The Connelly Cinema, located adjacent to the Villanova Room, will be open as well and simulcasting the occasion.

The primary in Kasich’s home state of Ohio will take place on March 15th, where Kasich is battling G.O.P frontrunner Donald Trump in attempt to slow Trump’s momentum toward the party’s nomination. Pennsylvania will hold its Republican primary on April 26th.
