FBI Hunting for Flyers Cap-Wearing South Philly Bank Robber

Police say he used a threatening note to knock off a Santander Bank.

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are asking for the public’s help in finding the man seen here, who allegedly robbed the Santander Bank at Broad and Oregon on Tuesday morning at around 10:30 a.m.

Police say that the man in the Flyers cap handed a bank teller a threatening demand note before making off with an undisclosed amount of money.

He is described by police as follows: “a white male, late 30s to early 40s, approximately 5’11”-6’ tall, thin build. He wore a dark-colored Flyers cap, dark sunglasses, and a navy blue zip-up hooded sweatshirt over a white t-shirt.”

According to police, he is armed and dangerous. Anyone with information should call 911 or the FBI at 215-418-4000. Police say that there “may be” a reward in the case. We’ve asked them to clarify.
