Kenney: No Regrets Over Christie Insult

"You should have a little more common sense and a little more respect for the rest of us.”

Chris Christie might not know who City Councilman Jim Kenney is, but the rest of the world has a better idea after Kenney fired off a series of angry tweets Sunday night while the New Jersey governor sat with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones at the Eagles-Cowboys game. Christie is a professed Cowboys fan.

The International Business Times reports on the incident:

Kenney, a Democrat, had no regrets over the tweets, telling KYW-AM in Philadelphia Monday night that he believed Christie, a Republican, was being disrespectful toward Philadelphians by being Jones’ guest in his skybox at Lincoln Financial Field. He didn’t apologize for calling Christie a name.

“When you’re across the river from Philadelphia as a neighbor, you should have a little more common sense and a little more respect for the rest of us,” Kenney said. “I have a big nose.  He’s got a fat ass.  It’s what life deals you.”

Kenney, you’ll recall, isn’t the only Philadelphian irritated by Christie’s loyalties.
