WATCH: 1950s Philadelphia Transportation Company Film Reminds Workers Not to Fight With Customers

This is awesome. The opening minute or so makes us want to do a Mystery Science Theater 3000-style voiceover. “PHILADELPHIA! LAND OF TRAINS!” But the video is entertaining enough on its own.

The description: “Including some excellent footage of mid-twentieth century Philadelphia, this Philadelphia Transportation Company video provides an overview of the many people who work together to provide mass transportation in the City of Philadelphia. There’s one group in particular, however, that is identified as “the most important people!” We estimate that this film was made in the late 1950s or early 1960s.”

The best part: Our host confessing that he used to hate customers, but then he realized their Philadelphia jerkiness wasn’t meant personally. It’s very Zen.
