Philly Native Behind the Obama Tech Squad that Whupped Romney

Germantown native and deputy chief technology officer for Barack Obama’s campaign dished on the POTUS’s web strategy at Callowhill’s VentureF0rth tech incubator. Among the revelations: Obama answered all his own Reddit AMA questions; Obama’s tech team had somewhere between eight and fifty times the number of staffers Romney’s did; and staff members were allowed to tweet at their own discretion, to maximize the potential they would get their message trending.

“The main metric is not dollars raised,” Conlow said. “The main metric in technology is the number of people you talk to and how effective you are at convincing them on your point of view and after that, how effective you are at getting them to actually turn out.” [Technically Philly]
