Quince Productions is getting ready for its second annual “A Very Quince Holiday Cabaret” (Dec. 3) upstairs at Tabu (5:30-8:30 p.m.). In addition to what promises to be a great show with 15 live performers, there will also be raffle – with prizes including theater tickets, gift cards to Gayborhood hot spots and even a two-night travel stay.

“This is one of my favorite events of the year,” says Rich Rubin, Quince’s producing artistic director. “It’s going to be quite an evening, and the major fundraiser for our 2013 season,” which includes the fifth annual “Full House: A Series of Cabarets” in June and GayFest!, an LGBT theater festival every August.

The performers will each contribute one holiday-related song (“Of course, with Quince, ‘holiday-related’ has a pretty broad definition,” admits Rubin). They hail from Quince shows past and present, including Shannon Agnew, Deborah Billups, Carly Bodnar, Kristine L. Bonaventura, Sarah J. Gafgen, John Hodges, Michael L. Medvidik, Alexis Newbauer, Brendan Norton, Harrison Post, Eileen Tarquinio, Elizabeth Maura Toal, Jordi Wallen, Crystal Why and LT Zerone.

The raffle prizes this season also run the gamut, from theatre tickets to some of the hottest shows in town at the Wilma, Walnut Street, Arden and many more, to admission to major cultural experiences at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and gift cards to some of our favorite restaurants and cafes, like Tria and Cafe Twelve. Cake and the Beanstalk has even donated a custom-decorated cake just in time for the holiday season. And Charlie Salon and the 12th Street Gym, among others, are giving away plenty of freebies to the lucky winners.

The grand prize is a two-night stay at the Saguaro Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ. “Imagine,” says Rubin, “coming home to say, ‘I got us an early present, dear.'”
