Kids Too Young to Be Charged in Beating of Woman

A 7-year-old and a 9-year-old are suspects in the beating of a 51-year-old woman in Juniata Park. Under Pennsylvania law, the two kids are too young to be prosecuted for barging into the woman’s apartment and beating her with ropes, a plunger and other items. The detective handling the case intends to sit down with their parents to, “find out what’s going on.” The 10-year-old boy suspected as the “ringleader” of the attack was arrested on Monday and will face charges in Family Court later this month.
