Nutter Aide Joins Obama Campaign. Desiree Peterkin-Bell—Mayor Nutter’s 34-year-old director of communications and strategic partnerships—will leave the mayor’s office to work on President Obama’s re-election campaign. Rizzo Mural Vandalized. It appears as though someone has a grudge against former mayor Frank Rizzo. Rizzo’s face adorns a wall in the Italian Market section of the city. Over the weekend someone splattered black paint on Rizzo’s face and wrote “fascista” underneath his picture. [Daily News]

Fattah’s Son Slapped With Tax Lien. “Chip” Fattah Jr. has been hit with a $31,434 lien for unpaid business-privilege taxes. The FBI raided the congressman’s son’s offices back in February and now the city might be able to freeze his bank accounts and block the sale of his properties until he pays taxes, penalties, and interest related to the 6.45 percent business-privilege levy in 2010 and 2011.
