Mayor Nutter Announces Plan for 750 Miles of Bike Paths

Mayor Nutter announced on Thursday that a new plan is in place to spend approximately $12.5 million a year for the next two decades to help create 750 miles of bike paths in the greater Philadelphia area. Nearly 300 miles of trails are either completed or under construction. Over the next 20 years, the $250 million is expected to fund the additional 450 miles that will connect Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties in Pennsylvania and Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer across the river.
