We’re Hiring an Assistant Web Editor!

The Philly Post and Phillymag.com are searching for a arts-savvy, Internet-lovin’, Philly-knowing, part-time assistant editor to join our expanding web team. The assistant editor will get into the nitty gritty of web publishing by helping us make the print issues of Philadelphia magazine, Philadelphia Wedding and G Philly web-friendly, as well as managing our soon-to-be-extensive events calendar along with some other tasks that pop up on a daily news site. This is a job for a person who’s great at paying attention to tiny details, but has hopes of someday working on big-picture web strategy. The assistant editor should know some basic HTML and blogging best practices. Experience working in a CMS—Wordpress, especially—is great, but we’re willing to train the right person for the job. This isn’t a writing position, but opportunities to contribute to our network of blogs and magazines could be available to motivated candidates. Interested? Send a resume and writing samples to Erica Palan.
