Hilton to Be Built at 12th and Arch

The Parkway Corporation will build 250 room hotel

Mayor Michael Nutter today was on hand for the announcement that a Hilton Home2 Suites hotel will be built where a parking lot currently sits at 12th and Arch Streets. The project will provide 140 permanent hotel jobs that will likely be held by Philadelphians. Philly is kicking in $12 million of the $60 million price tag and are offering grants to help make the building reduce its carbon footprint. The need for a new hotel is largely in part to the expansion of the Philadelphia Convention Center. [WHYY]
