Will Philadelphia join New York City in passing a law that requires fast food outlets to post nutrition information — including calorie counts — right on their menus? We will if City Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown gets her way. A bill she introduced earlier this year requiring the labeling has been picking up steam lately. Which may soon make it hard to order that seemingly innocent peanut butter and jelly sandwich — banking in at a not-so-innocent 895 calories — from Potbelly. I mean, could you so carelessly gulp down that yummy Five Guy’s bacon cheeseburger and regular fries if you knew it would set you back a whooping 1,300 calories?
