After your crew samples to your hearts’ content, head upstairs to the coolest part of the boutique — the private lounge, perfect for shower, bachelorette or morning-of beautifying.

You can pile up to 15 of your friends and family into the lavish space complete with antique furniture and a stone fireplace where you can nibble on fruit, sip on champagne and make rounds in their customized mini-facial stations. Products from Fresh and Mario Badescu will cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize before hired makeup artists get to work creating looks appropriate for any affair, from garden-party showers and black-tie weddings to nights on the town.

A two-hour session is $45 a person, and includes goodie bags filled with tiny versions of Plain Jane’s favorite products. Saturdays book up quickly, so call ahead for reservations. And even if you don’t make a party of it, you can still stop in solo on Wednesdays or the first Friday of every month for free makeovers and trials.
