Vault’s First Brewing Day

Yesterday Vault Brewing Company, the brewpub coming to Yardley in Bucks County, began brewing its first beer. The first beer to make it to the boil is their Belgian Blonde. According to the brewery the blonde ale will be a light, crisp, refreshing beer with some Belgian spiciness and fruity notes. Yesterday Vault made nine barrels of the stuff in preparation for their opening day which, if everything goes as planned, will be the week of September 24th.

Until then, the brewpub will keep on keepin’ on. Today they’re brewing up their IPA, after which comes a Bavarian Hefeweizen and an English Extra Special Bitter. As they shared on their Facebook page, Vault has been giving their spent grains away to a local farmer to use as feed. They’ve also offered a portion of their grain to the community, allowing neighbors to call in and have some set aside for composting or baking.

Vault will be a brewpub with live jazz music, tapas, and pizzas set in the 120 year old site of Yardley’s former bank.
