Looking to cool off this summer, but don’t have your own pool or a country club membership? No sweat! Below, a list of pools at local swim clubs, hotels, and community centers where you can take a refreshing dip for the day.
Don’t forget you can hit any of the city’s open public pools for free. Or, for something more private, rent someone’s home pool for a few hours through Swimply — just be sure to read reviews and go with a buddy for safety.
Crystal Lake Pool
Crystal Lake Avenue and West Park Boulevard, Haddon Township
This Haddon Township rec center features a 25-meter pool, a splash pool, and a wading pool for littles — plus a playground, clubhouse with lockers and showers, a picnic area, and food service. If you’re a Haddon Township resident, a day pass costs $17 per person; if you’re not, expect to pay $35 per person. (You can purchase yours at the entrance gate.) The pool is open from noon to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends through September 1st.
Marsh Creek Pool
675 Park Road, Downingtown
The pool in Marsh Creek Park is open to the public, and the site is also home to a kids’ splash area, a snack bar with a hefty menu, and a pavilion with picnic tables and grills. Visit for just $14 per person from 11 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday — the pool stays open one hour later on Saturdays and Sundays.
Neshaminy State Park Pool
3401 State Road, Bensalem
Another pool inside a park, Neshaminy’s is open daily from noon to 6 p.m. To take a dip, adults and kids alike are charged $14, cash only. The best part about this pool? The two fun slides.
New York Sports Club Society Hill
220 South 5th Street, Society Hill
This member-based fitness club boasts an outdoor pool on the deck. Non-members can visit with a $30 day pass — which are sold at the front desk — from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., daily. Kids are welcome, though the pool shifts to adults-only on Fridays at 2 p.m.

Roberts Pool
215 Hillcrest Avenue, Collingswood
Over in Collingswood, Roberts Pool allows up to 150 non-members to visit per day. Day bands cost $15 per Collingswood resident and $30 per non-Collingswood resident — children ages two and younger and free — with sales ending one hour before the pool closes. (Cash only.) Make a splash now through September 1st, from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. (The pool closes at 7 p.m. on Sundays.)
Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square
1800 Market Street, Center City
Sonesta’s rooftop heated pool is open Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day, and is enhanced by a pool bar serving up refreshing adult bevvies on Fridays and Saturdays. A pass for a full day runs $65 per person, or you can opt for the “After Work” pass, which allows you to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. for $40. The pool is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, weather permitting.
The Underground Spa & Wellness at the Logan Hotel
1 Logan Square, Logan Square
If you’re looking to completely escape the heat — we don’t blame you — head to the Logan Hotel’s subterranean spa. Not only is it a serene spot for massages, facials, and the like, but its indoor heated saltwater pool can be enjoyed for $50 per person during the week or $65 per person on weekends. The Health Club Pass also gives you access to the fitness center and locker rooms with showers.
Upper Dublin Township Community Pool
401 Logan Avenue, Glenside
This public pool in Glenside is open now through Labor Day. The cost of day passes range from free to $12, depending on your age and day of visit. (You can view the daily pool fees here.) Opening hours are 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 1 to 8 p.m. on weekends and holidays; but come mid-August, the pool will only be open on weekends.
W Philadelphia
1439 Chestnut Street, 7th floor, Center City
Okay, so the W doesn’t offer traditional day passes, but you can chill on the hotel’s seventh-floor WET deck — and take a dip in the outdoor heated pool — by booking a cabana. Reservations are four-hour seatings (11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 to 8 p.m.) for up to eight people and include a complimentary bottle of rosé or zero-proof beverage, plus caviar and chips. Bonus: A live DJ spins tunes Friday through Sunday. During the week, a reservation runs $800 per cabana ($600 food and beverage credit plus $200 rental fee), and on the weekends, $1,000 per cabana.

The Windsor Suites
1700 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Logan Square
Is there a better way to enjoy summer in the city than by lounging with a book before taking a dip in an infinity pool overlooking the Parkway? We think not. A day pass at the Windsor Suites’ pool runs $55 to $75 for adults ($25 to $35 for kids), and the pool’s open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
