Former Mob Guy Opening a Restaurant

Angelo Lutz, the Kitchen Consigliere is opening a lunch and light dinner cafe in Collingswood. Lutz came to fame during a 2001 mob racketeering trial famously saying he was “a cook, not a crook.” The jury didn’t believe him and sent him to prison for 9 years. Now patrons will be able to judge for themselves whether he can cook.

Since completing his jail time he has appeared on a Philly.com cooking show, the Kitchen Consigliere. He hopes to open his cafe in the former Texas Wieners by mid-October.
